Take Aloe Vera leaves of about fifteen. Remove outer skin and take out the gel. Add this to a pan. Take about the same amount of coconut oil. Boil together. Boil till the gel becomes sand like particles. Cool . strain. Apply this oil to scalp and hair.

Wow I need this for sure:) my hair started greying very very early, i mean on some parts of my hair,....is aloe vera expensive? I want to try ur remedy:)
rv,
Aloe vera is not expensive, I think. You know, its Malayalam is Kattar vazha..its easily available in Kerala.Have heard from a US woman, it grows in their gardens..for grey hair, avoid eating too much spicy and sour things and concentrate on your nutritious diet..
Thank you a lot:) I seriously think my spicy diet is causing me all probs, i like spicy food, and u wont believe, I like green chillies a lot! i mean not raw:)) , but iam a bit worried too coz i have heard all this spicy food can cause lot of probs, iam actually trying to reduce my spice intake. and many thanks for the "Kattar Vazha" I didnt know its called aloe vera:) , I know kattar vazha, i have heard amma say that its really good for hair, Thank you seena:) If my mom had computer access and browsing help, she wud have definitly kept herself engaged on his wonderful blog:)

wow, visitng this blog for the first time, loved all the articles about hair, but when you say that coconut oil needs to be massaged daily, then it needs to be washed of daily too, dont you think it is harmful for long hair to be washed daily??
Dear Amna,
Glad to see you here!
As a person born and brought up in Kerala, I can Definitely say nothing happens when we wash our hair daily, if it is lengthy or not..Washing hair daily is our routine while taking bath especially in morning..But we wouldn't shampoo hair daily, but use some herbal powder etc for that.I have many familiar faces among us with long hair!
Thnx ,soo much Seena,I was always scared to wash my hair daily...now I am much more confident about it...thnx again!
wassalam
Can you advise what would be best in terms of diet, and what to apply on black hair which is already white in most parts. I know i can't reverse the whites, but what could be done naturally to darken, promote growth and thicken thinning hair..
Am not an expert to advise, but I believe henna will help you.Pls check the label "hair", you can see the henna post there.. :)
Hi,
I am a keralite ,i am in uk for 5 years now ,i see that after coming here i tend to loose more hair than in india ,my hair was not thick but was good when i pleated it ,now it is a bit thin than before ,but i can see new hairs growing ,but it is not getting thick like my hair before ,how often should i wash my hair ,these days i am afraid to wash as after washing a lot of hairs fall out ,so i wash only 2 times a week and apply shampoo only once a week.
I have heard our Dr.says , don't wash hair with shampoos frequently. He has good black hair and he doesn't use any shampoo for washing.. Using herbal powders may be good, and nothing to worry if you wash your hair daily in ordinary water..
I gotta try these -- my hair is so thin! Thanks for the tips
Very Interesting post! I have tried many hair products before, but none of them gave me instant results like natural products did. After one day of use, I had people comment on my hair.
Hai seena
